Eventually all things merge into One, and the river runs through it.
– Norman Maclean
Founded in 2006 by the Richards family and located on the historic Brazos River, Rio Roca Ranch strives to conserve and protect the legacy of the frontier while embracing new technologies of ranching and diversified services. Rio Roca is Spanish for “river rock” and named for the mile-long croppings of limestone bluffs that run along the southernmost section of the ranch. The Spanish named the river “Los Brazos de Dios,” which translated means “The Arms of God.”
